Hazel brings her background working as a family law solicitor for 20 years to the mediation process. Hazel qualified as a solicitor in 2003, having previously worked for 5 years as a paralegal. She trained as a mediator with Resolution in 2010 and in 2015, achieved Family Mediation Council Accredited status, recognising her experience and expertise in mediation. Hazel established Choice Family Mediation in 2015 as she recognised the advantages of mediation to separating couples over the traditional law model. She continues to practise as a consultant solicitor and mediator for Family Law Partners.
Judith trained to become a mediator in 2014 and achieved Family Mediation Council Accredited status in 2018, reflecting her skills in dispute resolution. Judith is also a very experienced BACP accredited psychotherapist specialising in couples and relationship counselling. She worked for Relate in Chichester and Horsham for 10 years as a senior couples counsellor, family counsellor, psychosexual therapist and young persons’ counsellor, and established South Downs Counselling and Mediation Practice in Midhurst in 2014. Previously Judith taught science and has a wealth of experiencing in working with young people in many different situations.
